So the snow is extremely bad at the moment but at the same time it means that today I was able to go sledging with my boyfriend! The sledging itself was great fun, parking, however, was a different story.
The entrance road to the park was covered in snow and ice so cars were parking down the sides of the road on the grass. As we ventured further into the park, I noticed a clear patch of snow covered grass to the left of the road so suggested to my boyfriend that he park there where it will be nicely tucked away. Bad idea. There was a reason why nobody parked there. The car lost traction and instead of pulling forward, it slowly rolled on the ice in a backward motion with no was of controlling it. And to top it off, a much larger van who seemed to have no issue driving on the awful road conditions, drove past slowly with a smug smile on his face. Thanks Mr Van Man. Really helpful.
In the end we were able to turn the car around and park on a much more suitable area of grass. This is merely a reminder to everyone: DO NOT ALWAYS LISTEN TO MY IDEAS! They obviously cannot always be trusted.
